Raptors In Review (Bobcats 2/17/12)

18 Feb

On February 17th, the Bobcats (4-26) rolled into Toronto (9-23) on Owner and NBA Legend, Michael Jordan’s birthday, looking to put an end to a 16-game losing streak. It was Fan Night in Toronto and fans came in bunches to cheer on the team.

Both teams started off the game on a great start. It was a back-and-forth game through the first 3-Quarters and the Raptors had a 69-68 lead going to the 4th. It seemed like it would come down to final seconds, but the Bobcats came hard during the 4th and pulled away near the end to grab the 98-91 win, putting an end to their 16-game slide as they head to Indiana.

Best Performers: For the Bobcats, they were lead to the victory behind, their 3rd year forward, Reggie Williams’ 22 points through 31 minutes played. As for the Raptors, 3rd year Guard, who was matched up against Williams, DeMar DeRozan put up 24 points for himself but it wasn’t enough to lead the Raptors to a victory.
